John Purtell was the first president of Invisible Fence Company way back in the 1970s. He created this industry, although the brand name he thought up has been bought and sold several times since 2000.
Scott Touchton Chief Engineer Along with John Purtell, Pet Stop's chief engineer, Scott Touchton, was chief engineer for Invisible Fence Company when they were still made in Malvern PA.
When Invisible Fence Company went overseas for their manufacturing, long term employees were pink-slipped. That's sometimes the reward for years of service in corporate driven America.
Richard Kapolka, former Invisible Fence Company's chief manufacturing engineer - the man responsible for the manufacturing process, also joined the Pet Stop team, along with Invisible Fence's® former IT specialist Jim Deery and Invisible Fence's® warranty manager Robin Lavin.
Rather than disipate to other industries, these former Invisible Fence® employees chose to stay in America and formed a manufacturing facility near the former Invisible Fence Company's manufacturing facility.
